This Earth Week, We're Announcing Our Ongoing Commitment to U.S. Reforestation
This Earth Week, we're offering 20% off our stain grade Poplar mouldings — and investing in US forests.
It's part of a larger commitment we're proud to share: Luxe Architectural has joined the National Forest Foundation's Sapling Program — an ongoing investment in U.S. reforestation that continues well beyond Earth Day.
Earth Week Offer
April 19–30, 2026
20% off all stain grade Poplar moulding Use code: EARTH20
✔ Real wood ✔ Fully assembled
✔ Made in the USA
Why Poplar?
Every Luxe moulding kit is available in our stain grade Poplar option — meaning any kit you shop this week, in any size, qualifies for the EARTH20 discount.
Our Poplar is:
• Premium clear hardwood (no Knots)
• Grown in North America
• Custom-milled to our specifications in Southern California
Because it's milled to our profile, it matches the dimensions of our other finish options — so reordering, mixing finishes, or adding to an existing installation is easy.
Poplar is also one of the more forgiving woods to finish:
• Takes a medium-to-dark stain beautifully
• Accepts paint cleanly over a good primer
• Works well with milk paint for a softer, more natural look
It's a material that rewards the work — and one we've chosen carefully for our stain grade offering.

Our Ongoing Commitment: The NFF Sapling Program
This year, we joined the National Forest Foundation's Sapling Program — supporting reforestation across the 193-million-acre U.S. National Forest System.
Here's why we chose them:
• Chartered by Congress to support U.S. National Forests
• 100% of trees planted domestically
• 85¢ of every dollar goes directly into planting
• Top ratings from Charity Navigator and Guidstar
What "Real Wood" Actually Means
Every Luxe moulding kit is made from real wood — not MDF, not polystyrene, not PVC.
That distinction matters, especially on Earth Day, when many materials are labeled "eco-friendly" without much context.
Indoor Air Quality
MDF is made by bonding wood fibers with urea-formaldehyde adhesives. Formaldehyde is classified by the EPA as a known human carcinogen, and emissions from composite wood products are regulated under TSCA Title VI and by the California Air Resources Board.
Solid wood releases formaldehyde at significantly lower levels — closer to the natural baseline found in most homes.
Certified MDF is compliant and widely used, and modern standards have reduced emissions. But "lower emissions" is still meaningfully different from "virtually none," particularly in spaces like bedrooms, nurseries, or home offices.
End of Life
Real wood can be:
• Refinished
• Repaired
• Reused
• Or eventually chipped or composted
MDF cannot. Once installed and painted, it typically ends up in a landfill. The same is true for plastic (polystyrene) trim.
How It Looks — and Holds Up
Real wood:
• Accepts stain and paint cleanly
• Develops character over time
• Retains the natural variation and texture of real wood — adding warmth to a home
MDF:
• Can swell when exposed to moisture
• Cannot be stained
• Is more prone to denting
Plastic trim:
• Can be painted, but not stained
• Cannot be refinished like wood
• Looks synthetic in direct sunlight
We're not suggesting MDF has no place — it does, especially for budget-driven builds.
But calling MDF or plastic moulding "sustainable" without context is marketing, not a complete picture.
The most sustainable moulding is the one you install once, love for thirty years, and can refinish when you're ready for a change.

Our Adhesive Is PFAS-Free — And Optional
If you've been following conversations around indoor air quality, you've likely heard of PFAS — a class of chemicals known for their persistence in the environment.
Our adhesive supplier has formally certified that their tapes do not contain PFAS as defined under EU POP regulation (EU) 2019/1021, including PFOS, PFOA, PFBA, and PFBS.
That's a specific, documented claim — not a general "non-toxic" label.
Prefer no adhesive at all? You can order any Luxe kit without it. Just leave a note at checkout, and we'll prepare your order accordingly.
What Our Supply Chain Looks Like
Many peel-and-stick moulding kits on the market are made overseas from plastic materials and shipped long distances before reaching your home.
Our supply chain is different:
• Poplar sourced in the U.S. and Canada
• Custom-milled in Southern California
• Handcrafted by finish carpenters in our California facility
• Shipped fully assembled
Shorter supply chains don't eliminate environmental impact — but reducing transportation distance and keeping skilled craftsmanship close to home are both meaningful differences.

For Contractors & Trade Partners
If you're installing using your own fastening method, you can request your kits without adhesive.

If you've ever looked up "picture frame wall moulding" and fallen into a rabbit hole of miter saws, spacing calculators, and conflicting tutorials, you already know the real pain point isn't the installation. It's figuring out what to order.
How wide should the panels be? How much space between frames? What size looks right for your wall?
That's exactly what the new Brooklyn Wall Moulding Collection solves.
