What if?

I've always loved the dramatic impact of architectural mouldings – ceilings appear higher, doors look and feel custom, and suddenly a home just looks and feels better.

The thing is, getting that look isn’t so easy. You either have to hire a contractor (expensive, messy, and time-consuming) or attempt a complicated DIY project with power tools, angled cuts, and a lot of frustration. And if you’re renting, it’s even tougher.

So, I can remember thinking What if there was a way to get the custom look of architectural mouldings—without being complicated and expensive?

I searched and searched everywhere, and couldn’t find anything.

From Fantasy To Reality

During the recession, around 2010, when our family design/build business was slow, I had more time to work on my idea. I started sketching moulding patterns, researching adhesives, and making prototypes—determined to make door and wall mouldings that were beautiful, easy to install, and with renter-friendly options as well.

For me, there was one thing that was most important: I would never compromise on quality. My product had to be the real deal—made from premium wood moulding, never flimsy plastic or composites. We would only use quality materials and fine craftsmanship, just what you’d expect if you brought a professional into your home.

My First Customers

After months of development, I created the first Self-Adhering (peel & stick) moulding kit and was excited and nervous to list it on Etsy. I had worked so hard and now came the moment of truth; I eagerly awaited people’s response.

Days passed, and then it happened, my first sale… then a second...then a third. I still remember the names of my very first customers. From that modest beginning, we've continued to grow and improve.

What started as an idea to help people make decorating easier has become Luxe Architectural®—the original, patent-pending self-adhering moulding kits, handcrafted in California.

Luxe mouldings are more than just decorative trim—they are thoughtfully made with care. Each piece is the result of a simple belief: custom mouldings can be easy, and now with Luxe, they are.

Every frame that leaves our workshop is assembled by our finish carpenters using premium wood moulding. We've done all the hard work for you – miters are glued and reinforced,  frames are hand-sanded and professionally finished, so you don't have to.

Our unique repositionable adhesive means no tools, no nails, and no mess. Just peel, place, and transform your space.

Choose between Permanent kits (caulk for a seamless finish) or our Removable & Reusable Moulding® collection (for those who value flexibility and want to take their mouldings with them when they move.)

Looking Forward

My business started because I wanted to make beautiful mouldings easy, approachable, and renter-friendly—without sacrificing quality.

What keeps me personally excited is hearing from customers who have transformed a rental into a home they're proud of,  finally upgraded the doors they've been staring at for years, or finished a design project right on time. Every installation photo, every "this was so much easier than I expected" message—this is the type of feedback and comments that make me so happy to hear.
