My Favorite Things for Summer 2019

Hello Summer! I thought you'd never get here! ; )

Here are some of my new favorite go-to products that I wanted to share!

If you're in the market for a new watering can to tend to your summer blooms, I've got the perfect one for you! Made by Smith and Hawkins for Target, it looks much like the high-end ones found online, but for a fraction of the price. Made from rust-resistant galvanized iron, it has an elegant brass spout and two handles for easy carrying. Available from Target.com and in stores. $19.99

Pineapples always remind me of summer, and they also happen to be the symbol of hospitality! This pineapple coir doormat will warmly welcome your guests from the moment they arrive. Available from Target.com in navy blue, black and green (to match your new watering can ;) $31.99

Since we just saved some money shopping at Target, it's time for a splurge! When the weather gets hot, smoothies are a quick and healthy meal option that makes good use of all the fresh fruits and veggies that are readily available during the summer. I especially like that it pulverizes the fruits and veggies (so there are no green flecks to get in your teeth, just being totally honest!) and we're getting all of the nutrients and fiber of the whole vegetable. And perhaps best of all, there isn't the messy clean-up like there can be with a juicer. A tip for making green drinks taste really good: add salt and pepper! This tip was in the Vitamix book; it makes all the difference. Available from Williams Sonoma for $599.95 (yes, the price is steep, but it does much more than make just smoothies!)

I recently discovered these frozen, whole coconut chunks in the freezer section of Trader Joe's. I like adding them to our morning smoothies; they taste great but also the extra fiber fills me up, so I'm not starving in an hour. $2.49

If you're looking for an awesome, lightweight, moisturizer for the warmer months that smells amazing; then you're going to love this orange blossom honey hand and body lotion! I love the smell, and I always get compliments when I put it on. And it's healthy to boot! It contains certified organic aloe vera and sunflower seed oil, which is rich in antioxidants, and it's made with honey and hyaluronic acid to soften, heal, and promote healthy skin. I'm always on the lookout for dresses I can throw on, look great, and be out thedoor. This was a find; it's the perfect summer dress! The flower appliques are so cute; I always get compliments when I wear it. It's great with espadrille wedges, but I've also worn it to trade shows with white sneakers, and that looks cute too! Inventory is really limited, but I've seen it available through sites like Lyst. It runs really big, so order at least two sizes down from what you would normally get. So, these Leila wedges by Mia are amazing! I love them! They're not only so cute and summery, but they're comfortable! I originally saw them in Nordstrom, but then I found the same shoe at DSW, and they're on sale right now for $39.98 - a total bargain!

Summer means summer vacation! I found these mesh bags at my local beautysupply. They come in a variety of sizes and beautiful colors. They are perfect for make-up, toiletries, swimsuits, lingerie, etc. They keep everything in your suitcase tidy, organized, and I love that I can easily see the contents. They are also machine washable on delicate. I've washed my several times, and they are just like new. Made by Walker.com, starting at $15.00

The instructions are perfect to help you hang them and once you have a few down, the rest are so easy to put up. I installed 4 in an hour and a half. I've had them for about 3 weeks now and haven't had any problems with them peeling off. I know I can affix them permanently with caulking but not sure if I will need to.
