Each piece is made from premium Stain Grade Poplar, custom-milled to our specifications in Southern California. No MDF. No plastic. No flimsy composite materials. Just real hardwood, ready to stain, prime and paint, or finish with milk paint.

A Note About This Sale Listing

These Stain Grade Poplar kits are offered at a discount because the pre-applied adhesive on the back has expired.

The mouldings themselves are the same premium real wood profiles used across our website, but this sale listing is intended for permanent installation only and must be caulked in place rather than relying on the adhesive for bonding.

As a natural hardwood, Poplar will vary in tone from piece to piece — this is a characteristic of real wood.

For best results, stain your mouldings before installation. Once your pieces are placed on the door, caulk around all edges for a seamless, permanent finish.

Installation

Because the adhesive on these discounted kits is expired, these kits should be installed as a permanent caulk-in-place application.

Please note: This kit is designed for flat panel doors only. It is not intended for doors with existing raised panels, routed details, or decorative surface texture. If you are unsure whether your door qualifies, contact us before ordering — we're happy to help.

To install:

1. Stain or finish your mouldings before mounting, if desired
2. Measure and mark your door using the included instructions and worksheet
3. Position each fully assembled piece on your door panel
4. Caulk around all edges to hold the moulding in place and create a seamless, built-in look. Use clear caulking if unable to match your stain or paint color exactly.

*In rare cases, especially with older exterior doors, the hardware is not installed in a standard location. DIY/PRIMED: Our pre-assembled DIY moulding kits are professionally made in the USA from Pine that has been domestically grown, milled and factory-primed. Miters are glued and underpinned using V-Nails, which means no visible nail holes or patching! The entire frame is hand sanded for a smooth finish and our special adhesive is pre-applied on the back, eliminating the need for nails or glue! DIY Moulding Kits may require minor patching/sanding of small imperfections in the wood. Touch-up primer may be needed at some hand-sanded areas - OR - easier yet, use a "two-in-one" primer and paint.

*STAIN GRADE/PRIMER READY – PREMIUM POPLAR: For those who prefer a premium hardwood moulding that's great for paint or medium to dark stain! Our pre-assembled, stain grade moulding kits are professionally made in the USA from premium clear Poplar hardwood that has been domestically grown and milled in California. Miters are glued and underpinned using V-Nails, which means no visible nail holes or patching! Imperfections in the wood, if any, are patched, the entire frame is lightly hand sanded, and our special adhesive is pre-applied on the back, eliminating the need for nails or glue! Premium clear Poplar hardwood is not only beautiful, it's also renewable and environmentally friendly!

FINISHED/PRIMED: Our primed kits are ready for installation! Professionally made in the USA from premium quality wood moulding, the miters are glued and underpinned using V-Nails, which means no visible nail holes or patching! All of our finished/primed products are factory-coated with a thick, durable primer, miters are filled, imperfections in the wood, if any, are patched, and the entire frame is lightly hand-sanded, ready for your choice of paint. As a final touch, our special adhesive is pre-applied for you, eliminating any need for nails or glue!

Orders ship from our facility within 1 – 3 business days via FedEx Ground. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout. Door moulding kits are 19.99 for the first kit and 9.99 for each kit thereafter. Shipping rates for wall moulding kits vary by size and quantity ordered.

Returns

We want you to be happy! Luxe Architectural standard size moulding kits can be returned/exchanged within fourteen days of receipt, as long as they are in their original condition and not previously installed.

Custom sizes are not eligible for return / refunds.
