My Favorite Things for Spring 2019 March 22 2019
Yay, spring! I know that spring is here when I start to catch the faint scent of flower blossoms in the air. Here are a few of my new go-to products that I'm lovin' right now!
Like most people here in Southern California, one of our go-to groceries stores is Trader Joe’s. That's where I recently found this fantastic Orange Blossom Honey Hand and Bodysoap from the South of France. It’s thick, luscious and smells just like spring! You can feel the quality; made with olive oil, coconut oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E. Available at Trader Joe’s for $3.99. If you don’t have a TJ’s near you, it's also available on Amazon.
Along with springtime come graduations, weddings, and other celebrations. I love the Gatsby-era glamour and nostalgia from the roaring twenties that the Camille Long Stem Champagne Coupe Glass conjures up. For special occasions, these glasses would be gorgeous with a ribbon tied at the bottom of the stem. Available at Crate & Barrel for $10.95 each.
I’m always looking for easy, healthy meals to prepare for weeknight dinners. I recently found a terrific slow cooker recipe for Green Chicken Pozole. The prep time is minimal; it's healthy and delicious! Don’t forget the avocado, cilantro and lime garnish; it adds the finishing touch to the soup. I also like to use the shredded chicken in salads and tacos, which helps get multiple weeknight meals out of one dish. I think this will become a new go-to favorite for you as well! With the arrival of spring, we spend more time outdoors with our pups. My sweet boy, Hanno, turned 15 on the 12th, and while his spirit is willing, his rear legs are not what they used to be :( A technician at our veterinarian's office told me about this terrific harness! It's a huge help for those of us with older dogs that have weak hind legs. The harness has two handles on top, and it's made all the difference in helping to get him up and down stairs and into my car. Hanno gets to continue what he loves, and it's a life saver for my back! www.HelpEmUp.com
